On Sunday 14th July, Oaks attended the London Open. This is one of our favourite competitions of the year, hosted by our friends Dave and Jan Norris, with all proceeds going to charity. Three of our students competed and represented Oaks fantastically. Henry Harris won a bronze medal in his sparring, Natasha Hadlow got silvers in both patterns and sparring and Josie Longhurst won gold in special technique and a silver in sparring, where she put on an extremely gutsy performance fighting a girl who was 6 feet tall! As a spectator commented: it was like watching Land of the Giants! Well done to all of you - we're very proud of all your performances. Let's hope your successes encourage more Oaks' students, both adults and juniors, to compete in future events.
